FCA Leadership Camp in Jackson, MS

Our local Leadership Camp has been held at Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi for the past several years.  This camp is an extended weekend (Thursday - Sunday) full of "inspiration and perspiration."

FCA branched out from it's sport-specific camps to include Leadership Camps in the early 90's.  The idea was to impower it's campers to lead more effective huddle ministries when they returned to their school's campus the next school year.  The camp focuses on teaching practicial skills for Christian growth and biblical leadership, the development as an effective campus leader, and the training for spiritual, organizational, and motivational tools for use in the FCA Campus Ministry.

At FCA camp each camper is divided into a small group or huddle at registration.  Each huddle is lead by a trained and equiped college huddle leader that will lead their huddle through Bible studies, competition, and through the camp schedule.

An example of our Jackson Leadership schedule is:

        - 7:00 a.m.  Rise and Shine
        - 7:15 a.m.  AFC Breakfast / NFC Quiet Time
        - 7:45 a.m.  NFC Breakfast / AFC Quiet Time
        - 8:20 a.m.    Team Chapel
        - 9:00 a.m.    Competition
        - 10:00 a.m.  Leadership Training
        - 12:00 p.m.  Lunch
        - 1:00 p.m.    Huddle Meeting
        - 2:00 p.m.    Competition
        - 3:00 p.m.    Free Time
        - 5: 30 p.m.   Dinner
        - 7:00 p.m.    "Buzz Groups" (hot topic electives)
        - 8:00 p.m.    Team Meeting
        - 10:00 p.m.  Huddle Meeting
        - 11:00 p.m.  Snacks
        - 11:45 p.m.  Lights Out
