God’s Glory is Declared in His Name, Yahweh-Rophe, “The Lord Who Heals”
Verse of the Week:
He (God) said, “If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commands and keep all His decrees, I will not bring on you any of diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” Exodus 15:26
Bob Weiland lost both legs when he stepped on a Vietcong land mine in 1969. Subsequently, his courageous spirit inspired millions. Bob undertook a four-year “Walk for Hunger” across America on his hands, which he completed in 1986. Later, he “ran” the New York Marathon, finishing in four days, two hours, and seventeen minutes. Although 19,412 runners beat him, Bob was not discouraged. “I knew I could handle the marathon,” he told The Los Angeles Times. “I’m a born again Christian and this was a demonstration that faith in the Lord Jesus will always overcome the impossible.”
